Top 5 Communication Apps Performance in Serbia, Q3 2024

During the third quarter of 2024, the communication app landscape in Serbia saw notable trends in downloads and revenue across the top five apps, as highlighted by data from Sensor Tower.

Taktak, released by Fairsearch in early 2024, demonstrated fluctuating download numbers. Starting strong with over 20K downloads in early July, the app experienced a dip mid-quarter, reaching a low of around 9.9K in late August. However, it saw a resurgence in September, peaking at 18.1K.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter. Downloads peaked at 19.7K in mid-August, with a slight decline towards the end of September, finishing with approximately 13.7K downloads.

Rakuten Viber Messenger showed a consistent performance in both downloads and revenue. Downloads increased from 13.8K in early July to a high of 17.7K in mid-August, before stabilizing around 11K by the end of September. Revenue fluctuated between $400 and $1.3K, with a noticeable peak of $1.3K in late September.

Snapchat experienced a gradual increase in downloads, starting at 8.9K in July and peaking at 11.2K in mid-August, followed by a slight decrease to 8.2K by quarter's end. Revenue showed modest growth, with a peak of $557 in late September.

Telegram had a consistent download rate, starting at 10.6K and ending with 9.1K. The app's revenue peaked at $1.5K in the last week of September, showing a steady increase from early July's $869.
